Our small town annual tournament is run completely by volunteers. All officials, time keepers, line judges and those working in the snack tent are volunteers. We appreciate all your support, but want to keep this event friendly and fun for all involved. Please do not question the referee's call. They are doing their best under some very trying circumstances and they are volunteering because of their love of the sport, the players and the community.
The Lafayette Recreation Department expects sportsmanship among all players, coaches and fans. Your support and encouragement for all athletes is greatly appreciated.

Halloween Cup Soccer Tournament
Saturday October 21, 2023 - Dow & Libby Fields, Franconia NH
3rd & 4th grade co-ed teams; 5th & 6th co-ed teams
Guidelines:
All games 7v7 (includes goalie)
Length of games will be 20 minutes running time
Tournament format is round robin within each pool, with a 3 game minimum.
In the event of a tie at the end of the round robin format; the tiebreaker will be as follows:
* Head to head competition
* Goals allowed
* Goal differential (total goal differential during round robin format)
* Shootout; 5 v 5; most goals win
* Shootout; 1 v 1; sudden death
In the event of a tie at the end of regulation game during the single elimination portion of the tournament:
* One 10 minute overtime period will be played, sudden death.
Shootout; 5 v 5, most goals win
Shootout; 1 v 1; sudden death
Shootout - Until there is a winner - Every player must be a shooter until the entire team has taken one then start the order over again.
Co-ed teams are made up of at least 3 players of the each gender and a minimum of 2 on the field at a time.
Shoot out shall consist of at least 2 players of each gender
$100/per team – Payable to “Town of Franconia”

We are limiting registration to 20 teams per division. First paid, first in. We will maintain a waiting list for additional teams. We also reserve the right to cancel this tournament if the Covid numbers rise. You will receive a full refund if this happens.
No parking fee
Concessions will be available throughout the day.
All proceeds from the Halloween Cup Soccer Tournament will benefit the Lafayette Recreation Department.
Directions: The Dow Park is approximately at 28 Academy St. Franconia NH 03580.
From the north: South bound on Interstate 93. Exit 38. Turn right off the ramp. Continue straight through the blinking light. Turn left on to Academy St.
From the south: North bound on Interstate 93. Exit 38. Turn left off the ramp. Continue straight through the blinking light. Turn left on to Academy St.
Tournament Shirts: Our long sleeve Halloween Cup shirts will also be sold at the tournament. There will be a limited number & sizes available, so remind your players & parents to buy them early to get your size.
Food: We will have food trucks. please come and make a day out of our tournament here in Franconia.
Parking: There is no charge for parking, but please carpool if possible. Throughout the day the parking is going to be very limited. Morning teams can also park at the Catholic Church across the bridge or at the Franconia town hall. There will be some parking at the far end of the Dow Field by the burn pile, and limited handicap parking near the playground.
Parking is available at the Community Church, the east end of the field and on Church St. Parking attendants will help direct you. There is NO PARKING on Academy St along the field in front of the Dow Academy and NO PARKING in the Dow Academy parking lot.

- Top team from each pool will advance to a single elimination round for a division champion.
- Teams should be prepared to play 15 minutes prior to game
- If you have scrimmage vests, please bring them
- Organizations may bring more than one team
